Prof DAVID NAOR PH.D.

Ph.D. – Staff Scientist

 

Dr. Naor is a professor of immunology at the Lautenberg center for Immunology and Cancer Research of the Hebrew University- Hadassah Medical School since 1979 (a position he continues to hold).  Dr. Naor has served as visiting professor or scientist at such institutions as UCLA, the University of South Florida, Harvard Medical School, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Institute (New York) and at Charing Cross Sunley Research Centre in London.  Dr. Naor’s research has been published in professional journals including, Nature, the Journal of Experimental Medicine, The Journal of Immunology, the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, the Journal of Clinical Investigation, and others.  He also contributed to the Encyclopedia of Immunology and has been published in Scientific American magazine.

During the course of his outstanding 35-year career, Dr. Naor has received $2.6 million in grants and has won various honours and awards, including holding the Milton Winograd chair of cancer studies from 1987-2005; an award from Johnson & Johnson’s Focused Giving Program “In recognition of outstanding research toward the advances of science and technology in health care” in 1994; and the 2013 annual Hebrew University Faculty of Medicine Prize for continuing distinguished achievements in research and teaching.
